About Me

Celean Quist is a writer, a mother, an animal lover, and a plant killer. Nothing green can survive the brown and withered barren landscapes of horizontals in her house. Seriously the succulents by her front door are fake. Most days she can be found searching for her cup of coffee that she set someplace clever or walking from room to room trying to remember what she was doing (probably looking for her coffee). She cannot tell you how old she is without doing the math, but she does know the name and backstory of every stuffed animal in the house. She likes to write fiction about the big things like life and death, but also little things like what your dog groomer really thinks about when you say the words “puppy cut”. She lives in Arizona with her husband, two kids (children, not baby goats, but she doesn’t have anything against goats and would totally own them if she had the space), and N= >1 animals. She is a huge Star Trek nerd, and loves Science Fiction, Utopian/Dystopian, and Magical Realism. She has blue hair because she collects 75-year-old white men’s opinions and the fastest way to catch those opinions is to stand in a grocery store line with blue hair. And Doug Jones liked one of her comments on Facebook, so she’s pretty much made it.
